Dr. DeRooy was born and raised in West Palm Beach. She attended the George Washington University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Exercise Science.
She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. While there, she travelled to 17 countries, which allowed her to experience multiple perspectives in veterinary medicine. Her special interests include ophthalmology, feline medicine, and nutrition.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her cats, Puffin and Footsie, reading, boating, and doing yoga.
