I was born and raised in West Palm Beach. I graduated from Forest Hill HIgh School in '82 and won a state wrestling championship my senior year. I graduated from the University of Florida with B.S. in Animal Sciences and the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in '91. I did an externship at San Diego Zoo and Wildlife Park my senior year. I enjoy all sports have run two marathons and won a World Championship in Freestyle Wrestling in the Veterans Division in 2004 in the Czech Republic. I also enjoy raising and showing my Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and also raise and breed birds and raise tropical fruit trees. I married on July 31, 2004 and my beautiful wife, Lindsay, and we have two amazing boys together. I am learning to balance all my hobbies, career and family. I am a member of the following organizations: FVMA, AVMA.
Mike Raposo completed his undergraduate studies in animal science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2007. He received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating small animal internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists. Mike was an associate in a small animal general practice in Massachusetts for nearly two years before moving back to Florida where he served as an emergency doctor and performed relief work in Gainesville for a year and a half. He has now transitioned back to general practice and is happy to finally be setting down some roots in the West Palm Beach area. His areas of practice that he enjoys most are surgery and emergent care. He has a labrador mix named Jetty and a cat named Brodie. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife, fishing/boating and doing CrossFit.
Jesse Skinner was born and raised in Palm Beach County Florida. After high school he joined the Florida Army National Guard and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2004. Upon returning home he attended Florida Atlantic University where he received his Bachelors degree in Psychobiology. He received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from North Carolina State University College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. At NC State he received awards for excellence in Surgery and Preventative Medicine. Since graduation he has been working as an Associate Veterinarian in a small animal general practice in Royal Palm Beach. His areas of practice that he enjoys most are surgery, geriatric medicine and emergency medicine. He has two rescue dogs named Trouble and Namani. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife, working-out and surfing.
